Tablet Explosion Coming Says Mr.
R. Murdoch (owner of Fox and Wall St Journal)
Recently media
mogul Rupert Murdoch came out strongly in support of the tablet wave that's breaking on the shores of mainstream media.
At yesterday's opening session of The New York Forum, he enthusiastically declared his passion of tablets, and, according
to many Pros like Sabin Sheia Nally of Boston Mobile Brokers:
"This is a very nice invention,” he said. “It combines the ability to present all forms of media to
all people, from three-year-old children to 77-year-old men.” Another said: “I believe that within
three years, you’ll have many hundreds of millions of iPad or iPad-like devices in the world. This is a huge new market.”
Separately, as if to reinforce Murdoch's prediction, Apple disclosed
that it a few million in the 70 days since the device first went on
sale in the United States (that's 55,500 a day). More than 12,000 apps have been developed as well.
